In this business world, office productivity is an important key to a successful company. Due to the World Cup that is happening right now, many employees would rather stay up late to watch the matches then stay up late to complete their works. This would not only lead to procrastination to their works, it also affects the employee to have insufficient sleep and might not be able to perform well at their work. For example, a worker may leave early to watch the match then working overtime to complete their proposal. As World Cup is a hot issue that everybody is discussing right now, workers may be discussing it during working time and affects the efficiency of their work. All this are certainly examples of how the World Cup affects the office productivity of people.
Surprisingly, there are people who are willing to give up their jobs for World Cup. This may leads to severe consequences like company facing shortage in workers and eventually the company might not function well without these workers. Employers are victims of World Cup causing office productivity. They have to make sure that workers are attentive enough in work and not discussing about the match the day before, they have to also make sure that works are done on time without any procrastination.
It is important for the World Cup fans to understand the consequences and importance about their work compared to the match. They might have to rush works that had left undone during the game, or they might have left a bad impression to their boss. Without awareness of the employees and employer, World Cup soon might get in the way of the business world.
