World Environment Day (Tuesday, June 8, 2010 / 7:29 AM)
To commemorate the World Environment Day on 5 June, we need to protect the earth so that we will not take it as granted. If without the earth, I think most probably we will not be living on this world.
For example, one of the articles showing a koala in a eucalyptus tree is in danger species. It shows how climate change is badly affecting by the marine and freshwater habitats.
Another article is Polar bear. It is being affected by the loss of ice due to global warming. Due to the demand of the temperature which is increasing, the chance of polar bears is getting slimmer each day.
Another example is Raccoon fox, I saw it on a cd long time ago. The cd shows a process of how they actually used a hammer to knock its head, and skinned it alive for the fur to make a fur coat. Some of the foxes have not dead, but still groaning in pain which is very cruel and tragic. I advise that all of us should not buy so many fur coats so that there will not be any innocent animals being killed.
My conclusion, we need to protect and save the animals and earth. We can do our part by recycling the plastic bottles which can make into other things. Like example, last time during my secondary school, the school organising a science workshop, which need our help to collect those plastic bottles. All we need to do is cut the bottles into half, and put an egg inside the half bottles, we make it into a parachute, and then we do some experiment on the level five of the school, and we just gently put the parachute into air and its fly all the way to level one. We need to see which group reach the ground floor, without the egg being crack, and the egg are not cracked is the winner of the day.
