After the last four weeks of blogging, I have come to realise how important it is to be deliberate in understanding certain issues happening not only in Singapore, but also around the world.

Out of the four topics given, I find the article “Ocean fish could disappear in 40 years: UN” the most interesting to me. Through this article, I was able to understand more about the environment, how the people can affect the marine life and also how marine life on the other hand affects the people as well. I used to ignore such issues about the environment because I find that there will be very little effects caused to humans. However, after reading this article, I realise the importance of marine life to the people. This includes the need for fishermen to fish for living and also how people need a large amount of fishes for consumption.

Being deliberate in understanding such issues happening around the world allows me to step out of my comfort zone. This not only allows me to obtain more knowledge, it also helps me to be more diligent in a way.
