Schools stress to pupils: No copying (Monday, May 31, 2010 / 9:29 AM)
Plagiarism
Some primary schools are starting early when it comes to teaching their pupils about plagiarism. As we know that plagiarism is an offence of copying, we shouldn’t let it to happen again. They need to learn from young, as they grow up, they should able to know what things not to do and what things to do. When they are told to do a research on the internet, they simply copy the information and paste it onto their respective work. They are unaware that this is wrong on doing it. They think that this is the way of treating the work as their own work.
Due to some reasons, which may lead to family issues, no time to do, don’t really know well about the subjects they are taking. The teachers did not pay attention to students’ work or not passionate about their works. Last time my teacher are passionate and proud of being a teacher, they are not just taking salary and super strict in their teaching.
For Secondary and Tertiary students, they should know plagiarism is a serious offence. Once they are caught red- handed, highest chance of getting a zero is possible.
